What was a favorite course you had in school, from grade school thru grad school?
Fr. Gerry Schubert’s seminar on Drama, a politics course with Fr. Bernie Donahue, several theology courses with Fr. Jim Finnegan.
Why is Salesian gentleness so important to you?
Because it reflects my understanding of who God is.
If you were asked to select a motto by which to live - other than De Sales’ Live Jesus, what would it be?
”A bruised reed he shall not crush.”
What do you miss about living in a time when there was less technology?
Not much. I find it helps me accomplish things I could never do before.
Pope Francis continues to both inspire and challenge. What is most inspiring about him and what is most challenging?
Most Inspiring: His very human smile.
Most Challenging: His loving concern for the environment.
Of all the gifts friends and family have given you, what is a favorite?
Physical gift: My mother created several art works that are in my room and office.
Non-tangible gift: Determination to see a task through.
On a bad day, how do you make it a little better?
I come from a long line of nappers. A good nap always seems to help.
