Where did you first encounter the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales?
Through a friend of mine from college who attended Salesianum High School, and spoke highly of the Oblates and his time at the school.
What experience of the Oblates led you to join the community?
Meeting the Oblate Scholastics in Washington, DC in the fall of 2007.
In your experience, what makes the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales distinct?
Our spirituality which is the remedy for our rapid-response, multi-tasking, anxious and stressed out society.
In ten words or less, how would you sum up Salesian spirituality?
A practical way of loving God and neighbor.
Why should someone consider becoming an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales today?
Our spirituality, our charism, our community, and our way of life is an incredibly beautiful way to serve God through serving the Church.
Who is your favorite historical figure? Why do you admire him/her?
Jesus Christ. I have no doubt that he is the way, the truth, and the life.
What are some of your interests/hobbies?
Reading, especially the classics (Dickens, Steinbeck) and Golf (watching more so than playing anymore).
