Fr. Chris Beretta is the 17th principal of Salesianum School. He attended Paul VI High School in Fairfax, VA, where he met the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. He joined the Oblates after graduation in 1986, and was ordained a priest on May 31, 1997. As an Oblate, he has served in Catholic education for over twenty-eight years as a teacher, coach, campus minister, and principal at both Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers, FL (1999-2010) and Salesianum (1991-1993, 1997-1999, and 2010-present). Fr. Chris has enjoyed being in school as much as leading them, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from DeSales University, a Master of Divinity from the DeSales School of Theology, a Master of Arts in Sport Psychology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. His greatest satisfaction as a school leader is fostering transformative educational experiences that develop the whole person, and empowering students to be community leaders as they learn to be who they are and be that well.
