This year’s Wedding of the Sea ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Cape May, NJ was a beautiful celebration of the Feast of the Assumption in a special way.
Following Mass, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was processed from the church to the beach for the Wedding of the Sea ceremony. Fr. John Dolan, OSFS, Fr. Mathias Kumar, OSFS, Knights of Columbus, parishioners, and visitors made the walk to the beach. After the blessing, a lifeguard assisted Mathias Kumar, OSFS, in casting a floral garland into the surf.
