Personality by Pixels

What was a favorite course you had in school, from grade school thru grad school?
Christian Anthropology and Christology - they were able to combine head and heart in a way that transformed my approach to theology and ministry.

Why is Salesian gentleness so important to you?
It is a counter-cultural approach to the world.  It points to the possibility that we can live differently and effect change without resorting to violence.

If you were asked to select a motto by which to live - other than De Sales' Live Jesus, what would it be?
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

What do you miss about living in a time when there was less technology?  Why?
The de-valuing of face to face connection.

Pope Francis continues to both inspire and challenge.  What is most inspiring about him and what is most challenging?
Inspiring - his willingness to smell like the sheep.  Challenging - his call to re-evaluate how we live for the sake of the poor.

Of all the gifts friends and family have given you, what is a favorite?
A rosary comprised of beads from all of my different family members' rosaries.

On a bad day, how do you make it a little better?
Read.  Spend time with friends.

What is a favorite Scripture quote or passage?
Matthew 25:  When I was hungry, you fed me.
